Hatha Yoga Class Beginning September.
The Hatha Yoga class on Friday Mornings, at The Happiness Centre, is a slower, steady paced class, focusing on being calm and comfortable in the asana (posture). The aim is to bring about balance in our body's, stretching out, releasing stress. Improvements in flexibility, strength, confidence, self-esteem, and weight loss all come about through the practice of Hatha Yoga.
Classes are aimed at all ages and all abilities, modifications are given to individualise the practice.
The word "hatha" comes from the Sanskrit terms "ha" meaning "sun" and "tha" meaning "moon". Thus, Hatha Yoga is known as the branch of Yoga that unites pairs of opposites referring to the positive (sun) and negative (moon) currents in the system. For those practising Hatha Yoga this can mean a balancing of the muscles, or an alignment of the mind and the body, or the sense of peace with the awareness of the body's strength.
Establishing a comfortable posture, while concentrating on the inner Self, one becomes naturally immersed in the Heart's ocean of bliss.

Eating It is advisable to not eat two hours before practice, and before that only a light meal.
